Arusha National Park

Arusha National Park is a stunning destination known for its diverse ecosystems, including montane forests, grasslands, and volcanic landscapes. Dominated by Mount Meru, Tanzania’s second-highest peak, the park offers breathtaking views and excellent trekking. It’s also home to black-and-white colobus monkeys, often seen swinging through the trees.

The Ngurdoto Crater, a smaller yet beautiful volcanic feature, is a great spot for observing wildlife such as buffalo and warthogs. Birdwatchers will be thrilled with over 400 species, including flamingos and the rare African fish eagle. The park’s landscape changes dramatically throughout the year, becoming lush and vibrant during the wet season.

Visitors can enjoy unique activities like walking safaris and canoeing on Momella Lakes, providing a fresh perspective on the park’s wildlife. The cooler climate at higher elevations offers a refreshing escape from the heat of other parks. With fewer crowds and an intimate wildlife experience, Arusha National Park is a hidden gem on Tanzania’s safari circuit, boasting stunning scenery and rich biodiversity
