Ndutu

The Ndutu region of Serengeti National Park is famous for its stunning landscapes and abundant wildlife, especially during the migration season. From December to March, Ndutu becomes the epicenter of the wildebeest calving season, drawing predators like lions and cheetahs. Alongside wildebeest, zebra herds and antelope thrive in the lush grasslands, creating a vibrant ecosystem. Birdwatching is exceptional from November to April, with migratory birds like the lilac-breasted roller and various raptors filling the skies.

As the dry season arrives from June to October, Ndutu remains a wildlife haven, with elephants, giraffes, and hyenas gathering near water sources. The shifting wildebeest and zebra herds continue to pass through, offering thrilling wildlife encounters. During the rainy season, the region transforms into a lush paradise, attracting diverse wildlife and insects, while wetlands and lakes provide habitat for hippos and birds.

Photographers will love the dramatic backdrops of the Ngorongoro Highlands and the stunning sunsets. A unique feature of Ndutu is the ability to drive off-road, allowing you to get closer to wildlife, unlike in many other parks. Whether witnessing the migration or exploring the rich landscapes, Ndutu offers a captivating safari experience year-round.
