Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park is one of the world’s most iconic wildlife reserves, spanning over 14,750 square kilometers of vast savannahs and acacia woodlands. It’s best known for the Great Migration, where millions of wildebeest, zebras, and other animals cross rivers in search of fresh grass from June to October, drawing predators like lions, cheetahs, and hyenas for a dramatic display of nature’s cycle.

Home to the ‘Big Five’—lions, elephants, buffalo, leopards, and rhinos—the Serengeti also boasts over 500 bird species, making it a birdwatcher’s paradise. During the rainy season, the park transforms into a lush wonderland, with wildflowers blooming and rivers swelling, attracting diverse wildlife. In December and January, the calving season occurs in Ndutu, with thousands of wildebeest giving birth, which lures predators.

Spring (March to May) brings a verdant landscape, perfect for spotting herbivores and their young, while the dry season (June to October) offers better visibility as animals gather around waterholes. Hot air balloon rides at dawn offer breathtaking views of wildlife and landscapes as the sun rises, adding a magical touch to any visit.
